Mikio Sakabe A/W 2011-2012
I saw this on Tokyo Fashion Express today, I fell in love! The designer chose to use idols to wear these particular designs, and they even performed in them! The shoes look amazing, and are used to make the girls look as though they have a more “anime” proportioned body with the added height and length to their legs. The wigs are made of real human hair, and the outfits were kept light and fluffy, using a lot of chiffon type materials to keep the delicate and feminine feel. The designer was careful to not over sexualise the outfits, which made the idols look youthful, cute, and innocent. I have to say, this is my favourite thing I have seen on the catwalks this year!
